Capital Jewelers is a family owned retail jewelry store and was opened October 12, 1956 by Charles “Charlie” Buchheister. Charlie was joined by his wife Sharon in 1981 and step-daughter, Dawn. Charlie & Sharon have moved on from this world and the store is now owned by Dawn and her husband Greg Sellers. Capital Jewelers has a reputation for integrity and superior customer service in a family atmosphere.

 Watchmaker - Jim does watch repair on all kinds of fine timepieces. He is a member of the American Watchmakers Institute and the British Watchmakers Institute. Jim has been with Capital Jewelers for 11 years.

 Part-time sales associate - Val is a native of Carson City and one of the nicest people you will meet. She has a love of fine jewelry and has been with Capital Jewelers for 7 years.

  Jason Griffiths is our Jewelers & Watchmakers Apprentice. Which means he does a lot of everything. He has a great repore with clients, and a driving need to suceed, that shows in everything he does. He has finished his Diamond Essentials course with GIA and is working towards his Accredited Jewelry Professional Certification. He has been with Capital Jewelers 17 years ( one year officially)

Kaila is our newest addition and also Mary's daughter. She comes from a retail background and with her sunny disposition and anything can be done attitude has quickly become a customer favorite. Kaila has jumped right in to her GIA training and has finished her Jewelry Essentials program. She is working towards her Accreditted Jewelry Professional Certification.

 Co-Owner, Troubleshooter, PUK welder - Greg has been with Capital Jewelers for 7 years.

 Bench Jeweler, jewelry design, and diamond appraisal - She also does the marketing and buying. Dawn is a Master IJO Jeweler Certified Diamond Grader™ , GIA Diamonds Graduate, Accredited Jewelry Professional, and is working towards her Graduate Gemologist degree. She has been with Capital Jewelers for 24 years.
